This chapter describes some of the most common problems that MentorNet users may encounter - and how to resolve them.
Possibly the most frequently encountered problem is when a user is unable to log in, follow the steps below to identify and resolve the issue:
1. | Confirm what username and password they are trying to use. |
2. | Attempt to login yourself and see if it works. If it does then the problem lies at the user end (typos in login details, wrong password, PC, browser, etc). Remember the password is case-sensitive. |
3. | If you can’t login as the user, then login to MentorNet as an administrator |
4. | Check if the account is locked and unlock it if necessary. See "I've Been Locked Out" for more information. |
5. | Reset the password. See "I've Forgotten My Password" for more information. |
6. | Attempt to login yourself with the new password and see if it works. If it doesn’t then contact sfG. |
